Job Details

The Primary Responsibilities of the Medical Biller will be as follows;

• Responsible for reviewing and billing medical reports accurately and promptly
• Assigns proper CPT coding for procedures performed and indicated by medical reports
• Review amounts posted in system for billing and submit billing data to insurance providers
• Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Responsible for resolving any payment discrepancies
• Submit and maintain correspondence as requested and required to ensure payment is received
• Responsible for auditing billing reports to ensure accurate billing

Possess The Ability To:

• Work in a high volume billing environment
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain strong customer service skills
• Utilize personal computer and various software packages

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 plus  years of medical billing experience
• Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal
• Knowledge of medical billing practices
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPC, CMS, NCCI
• Understanding of HIPPA privacy practices
