We seek clinician educators to participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice within an academic setting. This position offers excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Experience and interest in chronic disease management and working in interdisciplinary teams would be necessary.
Successful candidates will practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospitals in Riverside and surrounding areas.
The department is also recruiting new faculty members to staff a new Urgent Care Clinic. Physicians trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or General Pediatricians interested in Urgent Care are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics and show completion of an ACGME accredited pediatric residency program. The successful applicants must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. Successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students and residents; and to participate in research, scholarly activities, University, and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals.
Rank will be determined based on qualifications. The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 for the salary range. The Base Salary range for this position is : $121,100 - $320,100 for the recruitment.. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://somacademicaffairs.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm2346/files/2021-02/2021-02-11HSCP%20Plan.pdf), which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
