Professor of Clinical X, In-Residence, Health Sciences Clinical Professor, and Adjunct Series – Psychiatry - Open Rank

 We seek clinical educators to participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in Psychiatry within an academic setting. UCR Psychiatry provides a rewarding environment in which to practice clinically surrounded by active learners with the encouragement and support to pursue scholarly activity. Our department runs an active translational research program with collaborations with faculty across our university. Applicants with additional certification in child & adolescent, geriatric, addiction, forensic and consultation-liaison are encouraged to apply, as are applicants with specialty interests in LGBTQ, women’s mental health or reproductive psychiatry, trauma-related disorders, health disparities, health services research, neuropsychiatry, developmental disorders and neurodiversity. Experience and interest in telepsychiatry are preferred. Proficiency in Spanish desirable. UCR School of Medicine is a minority and Hispanic serving institution. The successful candidates will practice at UCR Health clinical sites and/or affiliated hospitals/practices in Riverside County, Orange County and Palm Springs areas.

Successful candidate(s) for must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible (only within three years of completing residency) with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate(s) will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X, In-Residence, or Health Sciences Clinical series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. In-Res titles are intended to be used for individuals supported by non-State funds. Faculty candidates in Adjunct Professor Series may hold an academic position at another institution. Candidates must possess an M. D. or Ph.D. with research or teaching experience.
